Growing up on both coasts and points in between, Kass learned early on that the best way to stay in touch with a large group of friends scattered across the country was through social media outlets. It was while majoring in communications at Penn State that he realized the same buzz he created in those circles could be translated directly to business. Having already proven his social media strategic skills at organizations like The American Marketing Association and Calvert Investments, Kass recently bid Washington, D.C. good-bye and joined Media Works. The only sticking point? He’s refused to give up his allegiance to the Washington Redskins so we’ve been encouraging his addiction to Fantasy Football in the hopes that he’ll see the light and go purple. Until then, Kass is focused on helping our clients determine which social marketing tools can reap the greatest rewards – whether that’s to increase customers or increase revenue through the Holy Grail known as “word of mouth.” Ironically, in spite of his passion for social media and online technologies, there’s nothing Kass likes better than spending Sunday reading an old-fashioned newspaper.
