‘Tis the season of giving, and as we near the end of 2015, we look back on the past year with pride, knowing that we have nearly completed our second year of 25 Acts of Kindness and continue to emphasize the importance of charitable giving. And, as we celebrate this Holiday season, we are reminded of all the reasons we come together as a company to support our community and one another.
When Media Works turned 25 in 2014, Jody Berg, founder and CEO, challenged her employees to complete 25 Acts of Kindness before the end of the year. Recognizing the importance of corporate social responsibility and giving back to the community, Media Works exceeded the 25 Acts and committed to another 25 in 2015.
At this time of the year, we see firsthand how our Acts have a profound social impact. We recently sponsored three families for Thanksgiving, providing each with a feast for the Holiday – including a turkey! And we will sponsor the same three families at Christmas, wrapping our carefully chosen gifts, to ensure they each have a special Holiday.
Our 25 Acts of Kindness also bring the Media Works team together to work towards a common goal of supporting different charitable organizations. They varied from environmental clean-up to clothing drives, 5K’s to children’s hospital fundraisers, serving dinner and donating to great causes. And with plans for physical expansion of Media Works’ office in 2016 and the recent hiring of new employees, we are proud and excited to share this continued initiative as we enter the New Year.
Media Works understands that it is important to give back to the community and has made it a pillar of our company culture. Giving our time, our enthusiasm and our resources helps us to form new relationships, hone in on our core values and support our community. This year, we challenge our advertising partners to perform 25 Acts of Kindness – get involved and spread the holiday giving spirit!
