The Daily Record has named Jody Berg, CEO of Media Works, Ltd., as one of Maryland’s 2014 Most Admired CEOs.

The winners of The Daily Record Most Admired CEOs List were selected based on several criteria: leadership and vision; competitiveness and innovation; community leadership and service; financial performance and growth; corporate leadership; and board service and nonprofit involvement. Mrs. Berg won in the Private Company with 50 or Fewer Employees category.

The Daily Record honors the Most Admired CEOs not only for their many accomplishments and outstanding leadership but also for having the insight to select carefully those with whom they surround themselves,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “Their decision making, creativity, leadership and commitment to a better Maryland speak to their character and serve as an example to employees and to their communities.”

“It’s so exciting to be recognized.” said Jody Berg “It means even more to me that the employees who have helped build Media Works were instrumental in my nomination. I’m very proud of the work we’ve done for 25 years and for this recognition from The Daily Record.”

This wonderful accolade comes as Media Works celebrates its 25th anniversary in business. In 1989 Jody Berg started Media Works at her kitchen table and since that time has grown to become one of the leading marketing communications firms in the Mid-Atlantic region. As part of their 25th anniversary celebration Media Works has pledged to complete 25 acts of kindness over the course of the year.
